The campaign was starting to hot up and a candle lit vigil was set up on the steps of St-George's loads of woman turned up to protest and although it was a campaign of justice for woman that didn’t stop Mick and Sinbad joining in. Throughout the appeal Sinbad continued to visit Mandy and Beth realising his child would be born behind bars, god only know what that would do to her, but news of the appeal did help.
Meanwhile Rachel continued to stay with Jean and David but it seemed she was hiding something from her past and refused to talk about it. Until one day Bing discovered what it was Rachel was hiding, while snooping in her room he found letters from Trevor which was just the evidence they needed to realise Mandy and Beth, but unfortunately even if Rachel were to give evidence this wouldn’t help Beth.
Although Mandy never got over Beth, the baby was due soon so Sinbad once again proposed to Mandy and she agreed. As the day of the wedding approached Sinbad finally thought things were looking up until Brenna arrives on the doorstep. Somehow she managed to convince Mandy how sorry she was and wanted to become friends, so when Brenna tells Mandy she’s lost her job Mandy agrees she can stay with her and Sinbad. Brenna helped out with the cooking and cleaning making it hard for Sinbad not to believe her.
On the 5th November Mandy leaves to work in a woman’s refuge, they never did get married and Sinbad stayed in Brookside Close.
