The campaign was starting to hot up and a candle lit vigil was set up on the steps of St-George's loads of woman turned up to protest and although it was a campaign of justice for woman that didn’t stop Mick and Sinbad joining in. Throughout the appeal Sinbad continued to visit Mandy and Beth realising his child would be born behind bars, god only know what that would do to her, but news of the appeal did help.

ProtestRosie Banks also helped with a marathon dart match even though she was pregnant herself at the time. Eventually it was decided that everyone involved with the appeal would start a peaceful protest staying outside the prison day and night until they were realised but this idea backfired when it was decided that Mandy and Beth should be moved to Yorkshire making visiting impossible for Sinbad.

Meanwhile Rachel continued to stay with Jean and David but it seemed she was hiding something from her past and refused to talk about it. Until one day Bing discovered what it was Rachel was hiding, while snooping in her room he found letters from Trevor which was just the evidence they needed to realise Mandy and Beth, but unfortunately even if Rachel were to give evidence this wouldn’t help Beth.

Mandy in prisonSo when Sinbad explained this to them at the prison Beth was distraught. The night before the appeal Beth explained to Mandy how she couldn’t face life in prson. Mandy had never seen Beth in such a state. However the next morning just two hours before the appeal Beth died from a genetic heart condition. Mandy found it hard to continue with the Mandy and Sinbadappeal but with Rachel's evidence Mandy was released.

Although Mandy never got over Beth, the baby was due soon so Sinbad once again proposed to Mandy and she agreed. As the day of the wedding approached Sinbad finally thought things were looking up until Brenna arrives on the doorstep. Somehow she managed to convince Mandy how sorry she was and wanted to become friends, so when Brenna tells Mandy she’s lost her job Mandy agrees she can stay with her and Sinbad. Brenna helped out with the cooking and cleaning making it hard for Sinbad not to believe her.

Brenna preparing special mealBut Brenna hadn’t changed she was preparing lethal food for Mandy to eat unknown to Mandy who was getting sicker by the day. On the day of the wedding Mandy didn’t turn up, Mandy and Brenna had been fighting at the top of the stairs and Mandy fell to the bottom. Realising Mandy wasn’t going to turn up Sinbad went back to look for her and found Mandy, Sinbad & baby Ruthher at the bottom of the stairs.
